The Lancet Student Monthly Prize!
I have an important announcement to make today. We are now awarding the author of the best article published each month with a textbook of their choice. So from now on, all authors of the articles we publish every month will be eligible for this award and I will announce the winner at the start of every month. This month’s winner is Paul Park, the author of two brilliant articles the post election violence in Kenya, one about his experience in Kenya, and the other about his experiences in the resulting refugee camps in Uganda. Either one of these articles would have been enough to win the prize. So well done Paul.
Also, I mentioned in this week’s podcast that we are happy to publicise upcoming conferences and events that you tell us about. For now, this will be via the blog and so please see below for what is happening this month and beyond. Please note that this is definitely not an exhaustive list, just what you have told us about so far. Please email me at student@lancet.com if you want us to publicise your conference or event. And if you are going yourself, I hope that you will blog for us and tell us all about what is happening- many thanks Rhona
