Of course I always love my role as a Lancet editor but today is one of those days that makes me especially proud of working at The Lancet. This morning, we held a conference in London to launch our global mental health series with speakers like Jeffrey Sachs and Vikram Patel, and of course Richard Horton. There were quite a few journalists there too so look out for some coverage in the news tomorrow (other world news events permitting). The whole of the global mental health series will be live on The.Lancet.com tomorrow so I will say more about it then. All I want to say for now is that TheLancetStudent also wants to make global mental health a priority so please send me your ideas for article on this subject by emailing student@lancet.com
